I might just be slightly excited about this...
Have to admit, for the first time, a series trailer for Doctor Who made me cringe
Considering where the Doctor is following the end of last series and the Xmas special...it seems hes back to his usual form, so much for the low profile plan!
Also, ripping off Cowboys and Aliens is showing that Moffat is really running out of ideas, and just throws out the "episodes for the kiddy winks" a bit too easy now, the whole "star wars" reference with the DALEK eye was not lost on me either
Altogether, whilst the trailer was just what was shown at the DW convention this weekend, it doesnt have me going "oh i wanna watch this now"...which is very unusual for me!!

Actually, CC has a very good point. I thought the same thing in reference to the Cowboy and Aliens idea. I also didn't find Amy just firing a gun for no reason as funny. Maybe because in the Real Old West it wasn't done like that. I'm sure some one would have shot back. A drawn weapon isn't fun and games or a toy but a symbol of strength and power. And doesn't the Doctor hate guns? Here's hoping this is some Virtual room on a vacation space liner and Moffat is ripping off West World instead. That would make sense.
Sorry I'm such a purest with my Westerns. Amy would have to have cock the trigger before firing and also they aren't easy to just flay around being rather heavy. I have been watching a lot of older Who with my favorite Tom Baker and I keep finding them just as appealing now as I did when I was a kid. I'm not sure if season 7 have that kind of staying power.
But only time will tell.

As galifrey_gal & anyone else that attended the Con will know, the trailer was a great surprise but..............There's more to it......... Since when would 'The Moff Almighty' give us a completely true vision of series 7 ??? Does no one remember the trailer to the 2011 Christmas Special????
I grabbed a chat with Marcus Wilson over the weekend and he just grinned when I mentioned the trailer....... So we will have to wait & see.
We all know how Mr Moffat likes trolling the fans!
