It is in my top five because of how fresh it seemed. Loved Gwen in this. She never gives up.

This was my least favorite episode of season 1. A little boring and makes no sense. I never really understood this episode. I mean I get that Eugene hangs around even after his death because he swallowed the Doogon Eye and that it helped him gain a fresh perspective of his life but the ending was really confusing.

How did he get a physsical body in the end when he pushed gwen out of the way of a car? and then he just goes up towards the clouds. what was that al about?

there is positive things about the episode to but I just can't get passed that scene.

I read the question here and it made me think:

I don't believe in the context of this episode that you need a physical body to have a physical effect.

Eugene went through his life much the same way he went through his after life: ineffectual and unnoticed.

It was not until he found a purpose (saving Gwen) that he really had any effect on this world, or was noticed by anyone. Once he found it within himself to want strongly enough to make a meaningful contribution to the world and subsequently to take action, suddenly his family (and every one else) finally saw him, and having found his life’s purpose and fulfilled it he could then move on to what ever follows this existence...

A bit deep perhaps, but that was how I interpreted the inbuilt metaphor... What do y'all think?
