One week break between episodes 7 and 8
From: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/s4/news/latest/080516_news_02
As happened last year, Doctor Who will be taking a short break from our screen's after tomorrow's episode.
This is to make room in the schedules for the BBC's coverage of the Eurovison Song Contest on 24th May, in which Andy Abraham will represent the UK in Belgrade.
Silence In The Library, the first instalment of Steven Moffat's ultra-scary two-part adventure, can now be seen at 7pm on Saturday 31st May 2008.
Here at the website, we'll try to make the gap bearable with some special bonus treats on the evening of Saturday 24th May. Make sure you come and check them out!
Yeah I heard about this earlier (I was going to post it but thought it had already been posted. Maybe I dreamt it?) It's a shame but it will stretch the series out a bit longer. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
Those BBC chaps need to get their priorities right I think :resent:

*still trying not to swear*
I don't normally mind the gap but it's bloody Moffat's ep.. they should postpone Eurovision for that!

Exactly. Do you think it's too late for a petition?

Oh I don't mind! I love the Eurovision! I love knowing that we'll never win and the only reason to watch it is to listen to Terry Wogan's amazingly sarcastic comments throughout the show, especially when he's busy predicted who gives the most points to who. I am willing to forgo a week of DW for the comedy entertainment that is the Eurovision.

it alwaya finishes too quickly for me...

Most of you probably already know that Doctor Who has been taken off due to The Eurovision Song Contest, but if you tune into BBC One on Saturday 24th May, at 18.45pm, you can see a special sneak preview of the rest of Doctor Who Series Four!
Doctor Who will return the following week, Saturday 31st May, with Silence In The Library.
Just for those who dont know! XD
Yeah I think Timeless posted it in a thread, but making a seperate thread is a good idea so everyone can see.
I'm going to be away next weekend so that means two weeks without DW :(

i acn't believe they did that and euro vision is sooooooooooo fixed.
It's not fixed, all the neighbouring countries just vote for each other. Plus we are not exactly popular at the minute so we will never win.
Kaleidoscope

That's why it's so funny! If it was a genuine competition, nobody would watch it 'cause it wouldn't be anywhere near as entertaining.
I just watch it for the cheesy songs, have you seen irelands entry? It's like a turkey or something.
