OK as reported by me two weeks ago (on another TW website) and disputed by one or two :nono: - let me again tell you that we have seen the last series of TORCHWOOD.
Now let me fill you all in on the latest news... Richard Stokes' departure must have given you all some clue after all...
It seems that cos of JBs hectic schedule - Torchwood has finished for now in its present state. What will be filmed however, and later than normal, are 5 stand alone episodes only.
AND THEN THAT WILL BE IT !!! :bye:
bbc insider. :sorry:
My word is true - honest! I work in the BBC Drama dept.

What was the point in killing off two characters when there was only going to be 5 eps left,
What was the point in having a series (2) which really started to make the team pull together, to go into their histories and to develop them when it just gets cancelled.

No disrespect to the original poster. But remember everyone, just because someone says they are from the BBC doesn't mean they are. They could be anyone. Wait for an official press release before you start worrying.

Yada yada. Nice try but with a silly email address like yours, I doubt very much that you have anything whatsoever to do with the BBC.

If that's the case why did JB quite clearly say on Ready Steady Cook "we've got another SERIES of Torchwood that is coming up" when Ainsley asked him what he was up to? :dontknow:

JB also said at one of his concerts about series 3 AND 4. I believe.

Yes he did, I'd forgotten that :blusher:
I am very sceptical about this info, isn't RTD really really strict about secrecy concerning anything to do with future DW and TW. I can't believe anything like this would be leaked if it were true.

Add to the fact that JB as far as I'm aware of from interviews he's done in the past doesn't really lie. I mean look at when he was on Paul 'O Grady Show and he'd say no to a question but then nod his head like a manic.
Plus it would be all over the papers. I mean they'll pick up anything TW or DW related. That's where the leaks tend to come most of the time when they are this big.

I've never really trusted this 'bbcinsider'. Would the BBC appreciate a member of their "drama dept." telling us this? Arn't you like...risking your job? Sorry, but i'm going to believe JB....would he get our hopes up about series 4 if there wasnt going to be one? He's just say he didn't know, would he not?

Exactly, I agree. Also TW must be worth a lot of revenue to the BBC and all the products associated with it, so this post makes no sense to me.

Yep they would get fired. I don't think anyone would risk their job just to tell us this.
Don't feed the troll guys, they just want to get a rise out of us.

Yup. Why bring out action figures of these characters if there wasn't going to be anymore? Nobody would bother with them. Well I wouldn't.

I'm not even gonna fret about this one bit until I hear elsewhere. I'm confident that what John said on Ready Steady Cook and other interviews was true. I don't think he would lie.

I know for a fact there is definetly a series 3 + 4 of torchwood and that series 3 will probably start around january 2009.
The BBC haven't made it official yet but 'certain actors' who have signed their contracts for the next 2 series have said so

If you read over other posts on this topic, you'll see that nearly everyone didn't believe the person who wrote the topic at all, and if anything, it wasn't even officially confirmed. There has already been talk about series 4 in part so least thats something to look forward to! I am also keeping an open mind wherever the series may go. Rhys appears to becoming a bigger character than ever before so you shouldn't worry unneccessarily. :) The person who posted it has only ever made one post which probably shows that they only did it to wind people up.
