Torchwood/456 Question

Hello All. Probably the wrong place to ask But... On Day 3 of the "Children of Earth" if you look you can see etched/written on the glass 456.xxxx.. I think it it 456.9520 at least on the one I can read. It may be that each section of glass had a different 456.xxx freq on it. But can anyone see it clearer than me or have more detail on it? Like may be what in the UK is assigned that freq? I have asked in other forums and just get ignored so I guess it is probably a stupid question but I am curious.

I think the one on the right is 456.9520. Not sure about the left. Looks like 456.95 but I can't work out the last two

Ok you can see it too. It is best when the "fire" of the 456 arrival kind of backlights it. Any idea as to who is assigned the freq in the UK? I searched thinking someone somewhere has already looked and had an answer but I have not found anything. All I have is downloaded copies but someone with the "real" HD DVD set might be able to tell us the info. Thanks for checking.

is each number different??? ...i wonder whether the numbers are part prop/code numbers for the box rather than frequency.... so 456.20 would mean part 20 for the 456 box ... it might be that the crew/production team code number and label the props so that they know where each part goes and how to put together etc..... might be :dontknow: ... i know the 456 bit is the frequency but whether these numbers are linked i don't know ...


as for the frequency..the 456 allocated that themselves... it was the broadcast frequency they used.... Dekker was the Head of MI5's Technology division, who also was in charge of alien monitoring and discovered/made contact on the 456 frequency...????

Reckon you're spot on there mate, the numbers are all different. As the various bits of glass aren't all the same size, assembly would be pretty difficult if it wasn't all marked up (insert tab B into slot C...)

Hi,
I converted the above image into a vector image so it wouldn't pixelate and the numbers are the same bar the last digit
I am assuming they are prop codes or just there to make it look 'i dunno' "realistic?"

They were 456.9519 (Left)
And 456.9520B(Right)

Ok, I have been looking and what i find is that the 456.95 freq is primarily used for something called SHOPWATCH or STORENET. And it is used in several cities/areas. I am not sure what that is other that it relates to some security system. I am still checking but wanted to let you know what I have found so far.

I think the 456 are the Macra from doctor who because we dont really get a close up of them in the episode of doctor who but i know from that episode they also live surrounded by gases/poisons and u can recognise the claws of the Macra pretty easily if u think about it and because the 456 real names wasnt revealed at all its possible for it to be them maybe or maybe not.The macra have large crab like claws so if u noticed that the 456 also have. So when i put it together here are the simalaraties,they each have large crab like claws,both rely on gases/poison to live in its not much but thats only my opinion and as the 456 true name and identitiy is never revealed its a possibility...Oh and i just remembered the 456 requested 10% of the children but what for?And in the episode of doctor who the creatures attack the cars and then take the people but what for why not just kill them????
