Wow thanks for posting. Is it nasty that I got excited about the "twitter fan outrage"? :blusher: lol! Just hope they weren't horrible...

Thanks for posting the link to the article :) I'd say that was actually a pretty balanced article, and one which reflects what many people thought about Children of Earth. I think the comments from the writer of Day Three were also something which should be taken to heart, and appreciated that a writer's first duty is to the story, not to appeasing fans...

:nope:
I'm not sure what link you guys are following, but for me, it goes to a site called EndofShow.com... I can appreciate that the article might not be in accordance with everyone's opinions, but personally, I think it is a very accurate and unbiassed one. It's calling things as they were, and not going OTT one way or the other... :)

Sorry, what're you referring to? Just because someone doesn't like something, it doesn't mean that others didn't/won't like it, and the person who created it is still entitled to being paid for their time and effort...

That article, in its entirety! we all could have seen what he saw and said what he said! There was nothing new in his words

I'm sorry, but what was wrong with the article? That it dared to point out that Torchwood has been irrevocably changed? (and possibly as a result of 'sanitization' for the American market) I absolutely hate that RTD wrote [spoiler:39ja39tb]Jack running away[/spoiler:39ja39tb] at the end of the episode, but regardless of my reaction to that, I can't ignore that overall, Children of Earth was an incredibly powerful, and well written social commentary. Not everyone is going to like it, but likewise, not everyone is going to hate it. I can't fault the article for accurately summarizing things... And as for James Moran, good for him for standing shoulder to shoulder with his fellow writers, and saying (quite rightly) that their first duty is to the story, (not the fans)

thats all it did summarising it! nothing else, no commentary on any faults in the plot line (apart from the obvious) there was criticality in, no moral stance on any particular point. Which makes this article not worth its weight in data

That's all most reviews tend to do... Maybe you should voice your concerns to the author of the article and give them some feedback... :dontknow:
