View Full Version : That was just sick
[spoiler:1uq86vdz]What kind of message was the final episode of Torchwood supposed to send to viewers? Are you suggesting that there could possibly be a case where for the common good it is acceptable to tear an innocent child away from his desperate mother and brutally kill him in front of her? I personally find the very idea to be repugnant even when set within a poorly conceived science fiction drama. There was no excuse for filming such a cynical and emotionally manipulative scene, and to have the hero carrying out the dubious act was a cheap shot which made me feel sick.[/spoiler:1uq86vdz]

[spoiler:2du704fg]I feel exactly the same!
I just signed up here to see if people thought the same thing!
It was sick and totally wrong to do that
Also, I dont see where the series can go from here...no hub, Gwen pregnant, Ianto, Tosh & Owen dead, Jack's done a runner - it seems as if the show has finished for good :([/spoiler:2du704fg]
Yes because it would save a 100000000000000000000000000000000 other Mothers feeling the same heart break.

[spoiler:2wg3m8xi]That's what I was thinking. I've been so excited waiting for S3; I've counted off the hours till 9pm each night but now I don't know how to feel. I couldn't even decide what to rate the episode. I didn't "enjoy" it but it was compulsive.................. :resent:[/spoiler:2wg3m8xi]
[spoiler:3cgqanxy]I totally agree. Thought the first four episodes were excellent and was really looking forward to tonight but now I feel really let down. I watched the whole episode in horror and only kept going because I thought it would all come good in the end. Instead they've killed torchwood because I don't want to watch anything that has Captain Jack Harkness in it anymore. It was bad enough that he gave the first 12 children over to the 456, totally out of character, but to sacrifice his own grandson? There's no redemption for his character now. Watched right to the credits expecting everything to turn out OK, but instead the ending we got was for Captain Jack to run away. What were the writers thinking. They've totally spoiled what could have been an amazing programme.[/spoiler:3cgqanxy]

[spoiler:2latvu71]:omg: I've been a huge fan,but that ruined it for me.I'll never watch a Captain Jack episode again.I hope he isn't in Dr Who again.I'd give him to the 456,no problem. That was one of the most disturbing things I ver saw.I warched to the end thinking things would turn out for the good. How wrong can you be.Writes need to retire NOW.Obviously in need of serious help.[/spoiler:2latvu71]
